The Mowgli’s made a stop in Dallas, Texas on March 1, 2019, to perform at the Granada Theater.  The tour began on February 26, 2019, in Carraboro, North Carolina and is scheduled to wrap on March 30, 2019, in Providence, Rhoades Island.  The Making Friends Tour is a co-headlining run for The Mowgli’s and Jukebox the Ghost.  Joining the bands on tour are Louisville, Kentucky artist Arrested Youth (Ian Johnson).  His debut EP reached the iTunes Top 25 pop charts, making him an artist on the rise.

The stop in Dallas, Texas also marked the release date of The Mowgli’s 2019 EP American Feelings.  During the set, the band performed 3 of the 4 songs from the EP including, “Talk About It”, “Hard To Love”, and one of the best tracks from the EP,“Norman Rockwell”.  Fans were excited to hear new music from the band and grooved along to the songs.

Throughout the set, The Mowgli’s performed a mix of old and new material.  Fans sang along to “Say It, Just Say It” from the 2013 album Waiting for the Dawn, “Whatever Forever” and “I’m Good” from the 2015 release Kids in Love, and “Spacin’ Out”, “Bad Thing” and “Alone Sometimes” from the 2016 album Where’d Your Weekend Go?

The band also performed the majority of the tracks from the 2018 EP I Was Starting To Wonder, including “I Feel Good About This”, “Kansas City” and “Real Good Life”.  The band wrapped their set with a song that was written and recorded early in the band’s career and remains a fan favorite, “San Francisco”.  The song was originally released as a demo in 2010, but it was included on the band’s independently released 2012 debut LP Sound The Drum.  The song did well on college radio stations and created a lot of buzz for the band, which ultimately lead to them signing with Photo Finish Records.  “San Francisco” has been iTunes single of the week, it charted at number 11 and the Alternative Music Chart, and it was the theme song for the San Francisco Giants 2012 World Series run.
