Tenacious D released their album Post-Apocalypto on November 2, 2018 and began a worldwide tour on November 3, 2018.  The album is the soundtrack for the duo’s six-episode animated series Tenacious D in Post Apocalypto, which was released through YouTube.  The tour kicked off with a two-month North American run starting in New York City and wrapping in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.  They headed to Europe in June of 2019 for several dates, before returning to North America to perform in July and August.  On October 15, 2019, the fifth leg of the tour will see Tenacious D return to the U.S. for a fall run that will last a couple of weeks.

Tenacious D released their first album, the self-titled Tenacious D, in 2001 and quickly won over fans with their comedic rock and grandiose personalities.  Rock and metal fans have embraced the duo and turn out for live performances when the band tours.  In 2015, Tenacious D was nominated for and won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance, solidifying their place within the metal music community.

In more recent news, Tenacious D has teamed up with Jack White for what has become known as the “Jack Gray” collaboration.  The single is slated for release on November 29, 2019, just in time for Black Friday.  The Blue Series 7” was produced by Jack White and will be released on his label Third Man Records.

In the meantime, fans in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada and California will have a chance to see the duo perform live, check out the upcoming tour dates below.
