British folk rock band Mumford & Sons are scheduled to perform at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on October 11, 2019. The band first drew attention amongst college students in the area, but quickly climbed the charts as their appeal reached a larger audience. Their first album, Sigh No More, produced a top forty hit with “The Cave” and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard charts. The band’s second album, Babel, released in 2012, debuted at number one on Billboard charts and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
When Wilder Mind was released in 2015, it became an international success, charting at number one in seven countries, including the US. The album produced singles like “Believe”, “The Wolf” and “Just Smoke” to name a few. In 2018, Mumford & Sons dropped their forth studio album, Delta, and it was yet another commercial success, debuting at number one on Billboard charts. The album is very introspective and the songs address issues that normal people deal with daily. The lead single “Guiding Light” charted in the top forty on several US Billboard charts and was followed by the equally successful “If I Say”.
Mumford & Sons have maintained a heavy touring schedule and will be on the road through the end of 2019. Tickets for the Oklahoma City show can be purchased through Tickemaster or at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office.
