By:  Addie Hayes, Editor/Lead Writer, Regional Music Journal

Highly Suspect has a new album coming out on November 1, 2019, titled MCID and they have scheduled a fall North American tour in support of the release.  Fans have been eager for a follow-up to the band’s 2016 album Boy Who Died Wolf.  The new LP features several guest artists including Gojira, Young Thug, Tee Grizzley and Nothing But Thieves.  So far, the band has teased fans with the release of two singles from the album, “16” and “Upperdrugs”.

Frontman Johnny Stevens, known for using his personal experiences in his songwriting process, delivers a powerful and vulnerable performance on the track “16”.  On “Upperdrugs”, the band has created another rock masterpiece, with raw and gritty vocals backed with powerful, bluesy guitars.  With each album, Highly Suspect maintains a signature sound while evolving as musicians.  Their artistry keeps fans coming back for more, eagerly awaiting the next offering from the band, and with each new release, they prove to be at the forefront of rock music, paving the way for other artists to follow.

On September 19, 2019, the band will stop in Oklahoma City at The Criterion before heading to the Bomb Factory in Dallas.
