Ozzy Osbourne has postponed the remainder of his tour dates for 2019, including his scheduled headlining appearance at Rocklahoma over Memorial Weekend. Based on information provided by Osbourne’s camp, the metal legend “fell at his home in Los Angeles, aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery (in March).” He will remain under doctor’s care in L.A.
Osbourne released a statement to fans via his Facebook page saying, “I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!”
Most fans are taking the news in strides and patiently waiting for Rocklahoma to announce an artist to fill the Saturday night headlining slot. Ozzy Osbourne is not an act that can be replaced, however, there are many talented artists who are capable of headlining this massive music festival. The producers of Rocklahoma will no doubt find a great band to fill this slot. In the meantime, everyone is wishing Ozzy Osbourne a speedy recovery.
