Over Memorial Day weekend Avatar put on a stellar performance at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma.  Now the Swedish metal band is heading back to Oklahoma, this time making a stop in Oklahoma City at the Diamond Ballroom on September 25, 2019.  The band has performed in Oklahoma in the past and fans love their stage show.  They released their last album, Avatar Country, in early 2018 and the lead off single, “A Statue of the King” was released in October 2017.  A second single, “The King Wants You” reached number 27 on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Chart.

With each new album and tour, Avatar has developed a larger fanbase in the United States.  They received the Best New Talent award at The Epiphone Revolver Music Awards in 2016 and followed with the Breakthrough Band award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2017.  Avatar stands out in the metal community due to their style which incorporates melodic death metal, groove metal and progressive metal, mixed with their visually impressive live shows.  Oklahoma City fans are eagerly awaiting the performance and it’s a show metal fans don’t want to miss.

Avatar will be on the road for several weeks, wrapping on October 13th in Sacramento, California.
