American Football Kicks off Tour

By:  Graeme Guttmann, Contributor, Regional Music Journal

American Football is touring again after reforming in 2014. The band released their third eponymous LP (also known as LP3) on March 22, 2019 and are stopping at Trees in Dallas on June 27th in support of the album. Originally, the group disbanded after recording and releasing their first album in 1999 to critical acclaim. In 2014, the band resurfaced, playing live dates in New York and abroad.

The band’s second album, American Football or LP2, was released in 2016 and received similar cult status as their first. The home picture on the front of the LP is somewhat of an indie-rock landmark, as listeners flock to its location in Urbana, Illinois. The band’s third album was met with critical acclaim and their hotly anticipated tour begins June 9th in Toronto. You can purchase tickets on their website or at your local box office.
